Carmen and Thando audio play series

An series of audio plays for use in South African high schools

The Carmen and Thando audio play series deals with issues faced by young people in South Africa, particular those living in townships. The first audio play "Carmen and Thando" deals with issues of racism. The second audio play "The further Adventures of Carmen and Thando" deals with xenophobia, drawing on the experience of the xenophobic attacks in South Africa in 2008. The third audio play "To Be A Man" deals with gender isues as experieneced by many young people in South Africa. The audio plays were written and produced by Athalie Crawford of the Quaker Peace Centre as educational tools to be used in South African schools.
